Dan­te Car­do­so holds a degree in Eco­no­mics from the Sta­te Uni­ver­sity of Cam­pi­nas (UNICAMP), a Mas­ter’s in Eco­no­mics from the Fede­ral Uni­ver­sity of San­ta Cata­ri­na (UFSC), and a Ph.D. in Eco­no­mics from the Uni­ver­sity of São Pau­lo (USP). He has ser­ved as a Visi­ting Rese­ar­cher under the Ful­bright Pro­gram at Prin­ce­ton Uni­ver­sity’s Depart­ment of Eco­no­mics and wor­ked as a Lec­tu­rer in the Depart­ment of Eco­no­mics and Inter­na­ti­o­nal Rela­ti­ons at UFSC. Cur­ren­tly, he is an Asso­ci­a­te Rese­ar­cher at the Cen­ter for Rese­ar­ch in Macro­e­co­no­mics of Ine­qua­li­ti­es (Made-FEA/USP). His rese­ar­ch inte­rests inclu­de appli­ed macro­e­co­no­mics, fis­cal policy, eco­no­mic growth, inco­me dis­tri­bu­ti­on, and eco­no­mic development.
