
Fernando Rugitsky is a Professor of Economics at the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK. He previously taught in the Department of Economics at the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP) from 2015 to 2021. He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge’s Centre of Latin American Studies in 2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The New School for Social Research and an undergraduate and Master’s in Economic Law from USP. His research examines the relationship between economic growth, income distribution, and structural dynamics in Brazil and other South American countries, focusing on the impacts of climate transition.
