The Rese\u00adar\u00adch Cen\u00adter on Macro\u00ade\u00adco\u00adno\u00admics of Ine\u00adqua\u00adli\u00adti\u00ades (Made), based at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo (FEA\/USP), is dedi\u00adca\u00adted to unders\u00adtan\u00adding and dis\u00adcus\u00adsing the eco\u00adno\u00admic cau\u00adses and con\u00adse\u00adquen\u00adces of the mul\u00adti\u00adple facets of ine\u00adqua\u00adli\u00adti\u00ades, focu\u00adsing mainly on the Bra\u00adzi\u00adli\u00adan reality.<\/p>\n

Made acti\u00advely con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtes to aca\u00adde\u00admic deba\u00adte and public policy pro\u00adpo\u00adsals, fos\u00adte\u00adring dia\u00adlo\u00adgues betwe\u00aden rese\u00adar\u00adchers, policy\u00adma\u00adkers, and repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adves of orga\u00adni\u00adzed civil soci\u00adety. In doing so, it seeks to expand access to eco\u00adno\u00admic kno\u00adwled\u00adge from a cri\u00adti\u00adcal pers\u00adpec\u00adti\u00adve, the\u00ado\u00adre\u00adti\u00adcally and empirically.<\/p>\n
