The model covers a sig\u00adni\u00adfi\u00adcant por\u00adti\u00adon of Bra\u00adzil\u2019s tax and bene\u00adfit struc\u00adtu\u00adre, such as the Bol\u00adsa Fam\u00ed\u00adlia Pro\u00adgram, Unem\u00adploy\u00adment Insu\u00adran\u00adce, and Direct and Indi\u00adrect Taxes, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button button--selected\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/BRASMOD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Visit BRASMOD on Github<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-root=\"1\">All codes and data used in the model are avai\u00adla\u00adble on the <a class=\"in-cell-link\" href=\"https:\/\/joaofranciscocp.github.io\/BRASMOD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BRASMOD GitHub page<\/a>, and the docu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon regar\u00adding the adop\u00adted assump\u00adti\u00adons and metho\u00addo\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal choi\u00adces can be found in the Coun\u00adtry Report [link&nbsp;here].<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-root=\"1\">The micro\u00adda\u00adta used in BRASMOD were extrac\u00adted from the Nati\u00ado\u00adnal Hou\u00adsehold Sam\u00adple Sur\u00advey (PNAD) until 2015 and from the Con\u00adti\u00adnu\u00adous Nati\u00ado\u00adnal Hou\u00adsehold Sam\u00adple Sur\u00advey (PNADc) after that. The PNAD and PNADc are the main hou\u00adsehold sur\u00adveys con\u00adduc\u00adted by the Bra\u00adzi\u00adli\u00adan Ins\u00adti\u00adtu\u00adte of Geo\u00adgraphy and Sta\u00adtis\u00adtics (IBGE). The model also incor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adtes data from the Hou\u00adsehold Bud\u00adget Sur\u00advey (POF) for 2008 and&nbsp;2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-root=\"1\">BRASMOD aims to ser\u00adve as a tool for demo\u00adcra\u00adti\u00adzing and pro\u00admo\u00adting the use of micro\u00adsi\u00admu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adon for public policy eva\u00adlu\u00ada\u00adti\u00adon, faci\u00adli\u00adta\u00adting gene\u00adral unders\u00adtan\u00adding, and impro\u00adving policy design. BRASMOD was deve\u00adlo\u00adped through a part\u00adnership betwe\u00aden Made and the <a class=\"in-cell-link\" href=\"https:\/\/labpub.fea.usp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labo\u00adra\u00adtory of Public Sec\u00adtor Eco\u00adno\u00admics (Lab\u00adpub)<\/a> at USP.
