The pur\u00adpo\u00adse of this paper is to loca\u00adte ren\u00adti\u00aders in the Bra\u00adzi\u00adli\u00adan dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adti\u00adve con\u00adflict. A ren\u00adti\u00ader inco\u00adme sha\u00adre is esti\u00adma\u00adted and com\u00adpa\u00adred to the sha\u00adres of wages and pro\u00adfit of enter\u00adpri\u00adse for the peri\u00adod betwe\u00aden 2000 and 2017. The esti\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon allows for an analy\u00adsis of the role played by inte\u00adrest pay\u00adments out of wage inco\u00adme and pro\u00adfits in the tri\u00adpar\u00adti\u00adte func\u00adti\u00ado\u00adnal inco\u00adme dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adti\u00adon, as well as an exa\u00admi\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon of the tra\u00adjec\u00adtory of the inco\u00adme of the finan\u00adci\u00adal firms. From 2004 to 2011, pres\u00adsu\u00adres from rising wages were shif\u00adted from func\u00adti\u00ado\u00adning capi\u00adta\u00adlists to ren\u00adti\u00aders and from the lat\u00adter back to wor\u00adkers, as ren\u00adti\u00aders mana\u00adged to com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adte for the fall of pro\u00adperty inco\u00adme recei\u00adved from func\u00adti\u00ado\u00adning capi\u00adta\u00adlists with a rising inte\u00adrest inco\u00adme coming from wor\u00adkers. In the peri\u00adod betwe\u00aden 2012 and 2013, howe\u00adver, ren\u00adti\u00aders exhaus\u00adted their abi\u00adlity to pass on the dis\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adti\u00adve pres\u00adsu\u00adres to wor\u00adkers and expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adced an inco\u00adme squeeze.<\/p>\n
