Mer­ce­des D’A­les­san­dro is the head of the Eco­no­mics pro­gram at the Uni­ver­si­dad Metro­po­li­ta­na para la Edu­ca­ción y el Tra­ba­jo (UMET) and works as an eco­no­mic con­sul­tant. She was pre­vi­ously the Nati­o­nal Direc­tor of Eco­no­mics, Equa­lity, and Gen­der at Argentina’s Minis­try of Eco­nomy. Foun­der of the NGO Eco­no­mía Femi­nis­ta, she autho­red the book Eco­no­mía femi­nis­ta: Cómo cons­truir una soci­e­dad igua­li­ta­ria (sin per­der el gla­mour), published in Argen­ti­na, Spain, Mexi­co, and Colombia.
