Andrea Pao­la Gar­cía Ruiz is an eco­no­mist with a Master’s in Latin Ame­ri­can Poli­ti­cal Stu­di­es from the Nati­o­nal Uni­ver­sity of Colom­bia. She has wor­ked as an advi­sor on macro­e­co­no­mic sta­tis­ti­cal mea­su­re­ment, gen­der sta­tis­tics, and public care policy for­mu­la­ti­on, sup­por­ting the deve­lop­ment of the care eco­nomy in Colom­bia sin­ce 2010. She is a mem­ber of civil soci­ety and aca­de­mic groups, inclu­ding the Femi­nist Eco­no­mics Group (MEF) and the Soci­al Pro­tec­ti­on Group in the Faculty of Eco­no­mics at the Nati­o­nal Uni­ver­sity of Colombia.
