Sole­dad Sal­va­dor holds a Master’s degree in Eco­no­mics, is the Exe­cu­ti­ve Secre­tary of CIEDUR (Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Cen­ter for Deve­lop­ment Stu­di­es, Uru­guay), and is a rese­ar­cher in the Deve­lop­ment and Gen­der area. She ser­ved on Uruguay’s Care Advi­sory Com­mit­tee from 2016 to 2020 as a repre­sen­ta­ti­ve of non-uni­ver­sity aca­de­mia. Her work focu­ses on women’s eco­no­mic empower­ment, the care eco­nomy, and gen­der ine­qua­li­ti­es in the labor mar­ket. She also con­sults for UN Women on the­se topics, con­tri­bu­ting to analy­zing data from the 2022 Sur­vey on Time Use and Unpaid Work. She tea­ches Fami­li­es, Gen­der, and Gene­ra­ti­ons at the Catho­lic Uni­ver­sity of Uru­guay and col­la­bo­ra­tes on Eco­nomy and Gen­der at the Uni­ver­sity of the Republic.
